OUR BACKGROUND
Each fall, for nearly a decade, a group of dedicated sportsmen have gathered from across Pennsylvania to participate in one of the Commonwealth’s oldest traditions, hunting. What began as a small gathering of individuals from different backgrounds has grown into something far greater.
Some were born into it, hunting from an early age. Others didn’t know where to turn until chance brought them together. United by a shared respect for the land and tradition, the foundation of what is now the Pennsylvania Game Hunters Alliance began. Over time, the group expanded. New hunters stepped into the field for the first time. Others rediscovered their passion for the outdoors. At the center of it all was a simple idea: experienced hunters willing to guide, mentor, and pass on what they have learned to ignite the same passion in the next generation of hunters.
Today, that same spirit remains. The goal is unchanged – to grow the ranks of Pennsylvania sportsmen through mentorship, education, and shared experience. But the mission has expanded, reaching beyond the field to ensure that the traditions of hunting, conservation, and stewardship are preserved for the next generation.
OUR VISION
The Pennsylvania Game Hunters Alliance envisions a future where hunting remains a respected and sustainable tradition, supported by a strong, informed, and engaged community of ethical hunters. We strive for a Commonwealth where wildlife and natural resources are responsibly managed, public understanding of conservation is strengthened, and access to hunting opportunities is preserved for all who seek to participate.
Through education, mentorship, and advocacy, we aim to build a lasting culture of stewardship that ensures Pennsylvania’s hunting heritage continues to thrive for generations to come.
